Hindicember 19: Going further back in the old Bollywood Time Machine for AMRAPALI, starring Vyjayanthimala as the eponymous court dancer and Sunil Dutt as the king who falls in love with her. I know little to nothing about this film so I’m excited to luxuriate in it!

We are having a Day of Small Triumphs. Which is quite frankly a Major Triumph. If we weren't preparing to nap on the sofa then we absolutely would be dancing.

Hindicember 19: I found AMRAPALI to be a charming and exciting historical epic, with fun musical numbers and a cruddy hero. I also said “My *GOD*” aloud about three times when Vyjayanthimala was on screen; as @iamatrex.com said, she’s striking in the same way young Elizabeth Taylor was.
