They then have to apply to leagues to see who will take them. Which ever league they're in there are financial restrictions imposed that mean their wage bill can't be mkre than the average for the league they are jn and they have transfer restrictions.

Living in a world where your wage increases are less than inflation costs - where I effectively have less spending ability every year - does crazy things to your outlook on life.

The felon rapist president filled bankruptcy 6 times and our tax dollars bailed his businesses out.

He’s a fraud at every level!

Every billionaire commits wage theft and exploitation.

Treason too should have severe consequences!

I don’t know where you get your information from (please enlighten with your source, but…

State pension increases annually by “either” inflation, average wage growth, or 2.5% – whichever is the highest.

An alternative to sending money would be legislation that only allows the import of goods produced by workers earning a reasonable minimum wage in their countries, so they're not exploited as economic slaves. Then people would pay higher prices for clothes etc. Prices that reflect the actual value.

Literally what they're doing: push for regulatiins knowing those regulations will shut out the competition who can't afford to buy them.

It's why you'll occasionally see Walmart pushing for higher minimum wage: they can afford the hit but their competition can't.

See: LA Clippers.

Wage cap shenanigans that had at least one publicly listed company creating a no-show job which is basically what US anti-mob laws were written to combat.

The minimum wage in this country is so pathetically low, that even working full time wont earn respect.
September 29, 2026 at 4:35 PM
Honestly, it is tough to make it in Seattle on $22.14/hr. It is tough to make it anywhere in America for that wage.

BOE'S TAYLOR: WOULD BE REASSURING IF WAGE GROWTH EXPECTATIONS STAY NEAR 3%
September 29, 2026 at 4:33 PM
Not when the actual pension is

LESS THAN HALF THE MINIMUM WAGE

And you should be taxing the rich instead
September 29, 2026 at 4:30 PM
I have to go do an interview to prove I am poor enough to receive free job skill "retraining" to work for free for some chode for a week, before getting hired as a min wage line cook.

What a wonderful way to end a 17 year dev "career" lol I'm SO pissed off

And yet, it falls back if inflation is higher than wage growth.

How does that work?

Prices, presumably, won't suddenly fall, so what's the point of the short term rise in the pension?

BoE's Taylor: If wage growth expectations stay near 3%, that would be reassuring.

was never handed over. Justice Louis Brandeis wrote in 1932 that a single state may “try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country.” Five years later the Court upheld Washington State’s minimum wage in West Coast Hotel v. Parrish, and

1) The owners can’t pump money in anymore

2) Huge liabilities and wage bill

3) MASSIVE exposure to litigation

4) Potential Huge Drop in Revenue from Relegation.

This feels like a recipe for Administration

Five years ago, when a Seattle burger chain raised employee wages & benefits the Reicht wing lost their minds, screaming the result would be $20 burgers & the company would end in bankruptcy. Today, the chain is even more popular than ever. Never let them try to tell you a living wage can’t work.
September 29, 2026 at 4:29 PM
The chairman is claiming the owner didn’t pump in his own money. And they had by far the largest wage bill in the Premier League for years… so that begs the question…

WHERE DID THE MONEY COME FROM THEN?

City fans need to stop allowing their chairman to Gaslight them

We do, but the TL *as it is* is unsustainable and locks pension rises for *all* pensioners to well above wage rises (which isn't fair to the young people funding them, who're also locked out of housing). I think there should be greater protection for pensioners on the bottom end of the income scale

Back in the ’60s, it would only take about 7.5 years to buy a home with a federal minimum wage of $1.25. Today, that number drastically increases to 34 years. www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5wF...

tech guys who've never worked a retail job in their lives sit around dreaming up invasive nightmare shit like "what if AI could spy on every minimum wage sales associate every second of every day"
September 29, 2026 at 4:25 PM
Why would a historian study wage gaps between races and a saxophonist?
September 29, 2026 at 4:22 PM
Aw come on now, those folks working four gig jobs to make rent are doing great. And those 70-year-old Walmart greeters are living their best life, they're working for minimum wage just for the love of the game.
