Before cable came to Detroit in the late 1980s, we only had 7 channels w/ good reception: 2 (CBS; FOX), 4 (NBC), 7 (ABC), 20 (buncha stuff), 56 (PBS), 62 (historic Black WGPR; CBS)...

...and CBC Windsor 9!

Just asked Mom: "did y'all watch Canadian TV growing up?" Her answer: "yes, a lot of it!"

And I can now confirm that Dragon Ball did not get a rerun in February 1990 on WGPR.

The 3:30PM slot that Lost Media Wiki states is right after Macron I, and during that week, episodes of Romance Theater aired, per the Detroit Free Press.

This is why I buy the goddamn TV Guides.
... I'm definitely warped by my research at this point. I'm celebrating because I got a ping from eBay letting me know that my TV Book (not TV Guide) from Philadelphia from 1989 showed up today.

I understand what it's like to witness an institution you worked & believed in for years take a tailspin & end up in a death spiral. I liked my local CBS affiliate (the former WGPR Ch 62) and what it was building; but CBS New York's moral & ethical gyroscope was a bridge too far. Good riddance!
