Don’t forget WPAD.
I was wondering why KDC proxying wouldn't work on a test Windows 11 24H2 VM until I realized that the WPAD service was not running, and could not be started. Believe it or not, but KDC proxying has a dependency on WPAD through WinHTTP. Has anyone noticed this?

No, the WPAD service was enabled, but for some odd reason it failed to start, as can be seen in the screenshot. I rebooted and tried a few things, the WPAD service was just... broken. It's a shame because I don't care about WPAD but I care about KDC proxying

The good: I fixed it, KDC proxying works again, and so does Kerberos
The bad: I nuked the WPAD service (WinHttpAutoProxySvc), installed NSSM, then created a dummy service of the same name to be started automatically.
Guess what? I fooled that dumb service check!
