A couple of bases of kit bashed Sappers I built for my #WW1inPersia games a couple of years ago
Bit of a mix this year with almost no painting before May and then a flurry of activity with more #WW1inPersia & #IndianMutiny and then my #OpVarsity project kicking off late in 2023. 2024 will see 28mm Fallschirmjager & more British Airborne, and back to some terrain building.

Note: I’ve found replacing step 13 with a wash of GW Apothecary White gives a nice cool pale grey shirt for the Anzacs. Here’s one at the untidy stage of painting #WW1inPersia

Trying to see if I can get these 20 Anzacs painted & based before I head for foreign climes in 48 hours. Luckily they are a relatively easy paint with a limited palette #WW1inPersia

Game 2: After some bloody fisticuffs both the Brits and the Qashqai were close to breaking, however it was the Brits who finally succumbed. Unfortunately in the rush to flee from the town, the sniper team were encircled and have become prisoners of Ruholla Khola #WW1inPersia

2nd game is well and truly underway with the Qashqai charging towards the Brits buoyed by their successful ambush with their mountain gun in the orchard. On the other side of town, the militia stand in the street whilst the British Sniper takes pot shots at them #WW1inPersia

Blimey….I’ve just had a count up, in the last 3 weeks I’ve painted 66 x 28mm figures for my #WW1inPersia project. I think that’s a record for me! Radio silence will return next week for approx 7 weeks as I’ll be in house renovation mode….so don’t worry I’m not dead (I hope).

Planning a #WW1inPersia game (Brits vs QashQai) at the weekend, so thought I’d paint up some Militia rocket troops….just to add an extra dimension! Here’s my paint guide, which will be pretty much identical to my previous Tribal Militia guide until we get to painting rockets.

After I finish my #WW1inPersia project I’ll be moving SE (and back in time by about 60 years ) to The Indian Mutiny. I’m starting, as always, by reading around the subject, so was pleased to pick this up today for £4 at a local charity shop #CompanyRule

My Google Fu is failing me….does anyone know when Wargames Atlantic will release their tribal cavalry plastics please? I can find reference to an imminent release in 2020, but can’t see that they have actually released them yet #WW1inPersia
