An inaccessible employment services system shouldn't cost someone their income. At least 396,000 people with disability are exposed to renewed payment penalties. WWDA joins other disability organisations calling for these penalties to be withdrawn.

A person who needs 24-hour support could miss out on a new NDIS safeguard simply because their family already provides some of that support for free. Unpaid family support does not mean lower support needs.

Foundational supports are services outside the NDIS that help people with disability in their everyday lives.

WWDA will continue advocating for these supports to be properly funded, available when people need them and co-designed with women, girls and gender-diverse people with disability.
