I was over Toxic Commando in like a week, so I redownloaded WWZ to scratch the itch it left.
The idea of playing Toxic Commando again genuinely feels like taking a *big* step back after reacclimatizing to WWZ. It just lacks so much in comparison.

I *think* when it first came out, I merely “liked” it, but over the years I’ve developed an immense fondness for WWZ. It’s become one of those “always there” games - if I want to play something comfortable and immediate, WWZ is never not an option. It’s a pair of well worn gloves at this point.

Remember in the WWZ book where the ultra rich turned their zombie bunker into a reality show and it was almost immediately overrun by people and the security turned on their rich clients?
This is where the 1% will go to restart civilization after a nuclear attack.
But it for me thinking: what if the uber wealthy built these bunkers for more people — and not for nuclear attacks but for the climate crisis that will get us all — instead of trying to leave the planet?
