Autumn foliage destinations are drawing attention as a new ranking places Québec City in Canada at the top of the world's best places to experience the season's changing colours, followed by Kyoto in Japan and Burlington in the United States. Austria's Wachau Valley was the only European destination to make the top 10. The ranking, compiled by cruise and holiday company IgluCruise, assessed 40 popular destinations using factors including broadleaf tree density, daily sunshine hours in autumn, the availability of local excursions and increases in online searches. The results highlight destinations where visitors can combine colourful landscapes with sightseeing and seasonal activities.
