Not a week ago, WalkSF put up a "someone was killed here" sign on my street to note where a pedestrian was killed by a car. Someone has already torn it down 🙃

A week ago, a driver turning right at 4th/King killed for a four year old. Today at the vigil organized by WalkSF and other non-profits, SFMTA said it would take 3 weeks to do a "quick build" to make the intersection safer. That's too long. So we did our own tonight and closed one of the turn lanes.

I spent the morning with #WalkSF completing a stairway challenge walk. 5 miles with at least 2000 stairs climbed or descended. It was a fun way to get to know the Bernal Heights area a bit better.

Woman Struck at Geary and 39th Has Died, Marking the Third Pedestrian Death of 2025
A 77-year-old woman who was struck by a driver at Geary and 39th Avenue on March 14 died from her injuries on Thursday. There have been three pedestrian deaths in SF so far in 2025.
