i finished the wataten manga a while ago, and i've seen the anime+ova, but i missed that there was a movie released several years ago, one that isn't adapting the manga but is an original story!!

and honestly, i don't know if there could've been a better movie as a coda to this entire story... wow!

*sigh* I'm gonna try to take my mind off of the economy and the job market for the rest of tonight. Just take care of myself tonight, maybe watch a movie or something. I've physically exhausted myself from worrying so much lol

you also watcheds the wataten movie? is really goods

wataten anime... wataten ova... wataten movie... time for yay

"I will watch anime I haven't watched- OH like the wataten movie, well then I may as well rewatch-"

there’s also been some wataten and yuru yuri movie stuff in the last few years apparently but that’s movies

they're femme and butch lesbians sorry i don't make the rules

the fade out in the wataten movie would make david lynch proud

19. Wataten Precious Friends (movie)

Beautiful scenery in this short movie that made me say "wow, so pretty!" out loud. I liked how all the girls got to explore more of their dynamics with eachother, and we met mirrors for two characters we already know. Koyori also got her day in the spotlight..

Finally finished watching the Wataten movie. Here's something I could keep watching forever if that didn't make me so angry that the yuri doesn't go anywhere. That usually leads me to drawing doujinshi my family would desert me if they found it though, so it's not that bad. Still can enjoy things 🥰.

That said, Nagatoro’s kind of hard to get to, so unless you’re already planning to go nearby, it might not be worth the trip just for that.

Fun fact: Nagatoro is the setting of the Wataten! movie, “Precious Friends.”

i have no idea why some stuff gets picked up and others don't (and in what order), it seems ridiculous from the outside

like how the heck did fucking Wataten get an anime show and movie adaptation

(but nothing for I Married My Best Friend to Shut My Parents Up or I Can't Say No To The Lonely Girl)

If you’re not planning to stay long, there are still plenty of Wataten! spots just around the station.
I especially recommend the Iwadatami Rocks — they appear several times in the movie!
