#WatchChain
A YouTube watchchain led me to vids by an auto repair shop in the US state of Florida. Bigbeard is a mechanic there; baseball cap is the parts guy.

Huh.

Today I learned about Nadia Boulanger (1887-1979), and I'm ashamed it took me so long. She was a French composer, conductor, and teacher who taught for many years in the U.S., including at Juilliard. Her students included Aaron Copland and Philip Glass. This is a big discovery for me.

Thanks to everyone who braved the heat last night to be some Good Trouble in Waltham, and special thanks to our speakers, MA Poet Laureate Regie O'Hare Gibson and State Sen. Mike Barrett!

All hail James Jesse Strang, crowned King of Beaver Island on this day in 1850. How did he get this remarkable honour? By being told he deserved it by an angel, of course! 🧵

Well, it’s 172 years today since slim francophone Roger Charles Doughty-Tichborne was last seen alive – a few months before he was presumed dead, and about 11 years before a 27-stone cockney butcher turned up from Australia claiming to be this long-lost heir to a fortune... 🧵

Ah, New Year’s Day! That can only mean one thing. YES, THAT’S RIGHT! The 148th anniversary of New York Herald proprietor James Gordon Bennett Jr being banished from polite society for pissing in his fiancée’s fireplace, thus giving the world the phrase ‘Gordon Bennett!’ 🧵

This morning I have put on my mum's socks, and her father's watchchain neckless that she gave to me on the morning that she died. With her courage, tonight I will attend Rachel Maskill MP's open meeting on the Assisted Dying Bill, and plan to tell her story publicly for the first time.

For goodness sake stop tormenting that poor animal with the old Malteser-on-the-watchchain shtick

Book!Norton even gloats that he confirmed Blatch's existence and took steps to get him out of reach too.

If you saw this photo, what date would you put on it? (I think any colourisation is later)

I didn't even notice what the original fastener was. Toggle is totally fine, and easier to manage than the strength of some clasps. I can wear my silver watchchain necklace and be a bit matchy matchy in style 😁

Mario, or as Margot dubs him "Varsity Blues" is the muscle as they arrive.

Richter waves them over. 3 piece suit, watchchain, and same Docs.

"What the hell is this monster thing?!?"

They've made shit his problem.

They note that Cat interfered.

Check out this watchchain succulent. It's my favorite

The cacti are waiting for everyone to get off their spots on the back deck so they can go out

I like to throw everyone outside so they can re-charge a bit over the summer

Plus then I remember to water them 😅
