Council authorized a contract modification (GMP) with Garni Companies for a water system improvement project not to exceed $65,526,494 and approved related purchases including grit removal equipment for up to $1,660,000 and a $45,000 contract modification for Rawstand Solutions.

Staff presented a proposed utility fund with $10,077,008.93 in revenue and $28,767 projected excess, noting water system repair increases, treated-water purchases and higher electricity costs tied to diesel-plant operations.

At its July 7 meeting the Granbury City Council unanimously approved a resolution to seek up to $21 million from the Texas Water Development Board, approved a comprehensive-plan amendment at 501 Holly Hills Cemetery Road, selected Forvis Majors LLP as external auditor, and renewed employee health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas.

After bids came in above available funds, staff negotiated scope to lower cost and recommended awarding a $933,950 contract to Herring Rivenbark for an 8‑inch, 1.9‑mile water main to the proposed Five‑County rail site; the town of Middlesex agreed to contribute $163,750 and the NC Railroad raised its grant to $500,000.
