I guess they carried on cheering throughout the series as the Waterfords created a religious dictatorship to own the libs, with troops on city streets.

It's worth rewatching that bit of The Handmaid's Tale where Mrs Waterford tries to speak to angry uni students, but they stop her by screaming 'Fascist' and 'Nazi Cunt' at her and things turn ugly. The Waterfords make a speedy exit and Mr W complains about free speech denied. 'This is America!' /1
