E.g. Murderbot and Wayfarers series are queernormative but if there was a planet/city somewhere in the whole setting that had different norms, given size of setting that wouldn't necessarily take me out of it. But POV characters and associates live in a world where queerness is norm.

I think Lummukem may be my favourite of the Wayfarers. He's the solid rock the rest of the party know they can count on no matter what, and in recent years I particularly relate to his personal journey. 🩷💙

If steampunk would be considered, Cherie Priest's Clockwork Century series is very good.
Also, Becky Chambers' Wayfarers series is fantastic. More futuristic sci-fi, though, but so, so good!

I’m into the Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers at the moment. Set in the far future but good character arcs so far; I’m enjoying them.

Been reading the Wayfarers solo campaign on @sonofoak.com's Patreon and now highly tempted to do my own solo game of Legend in the Mist. I've considered it before after running a demo game but never got around to it because of a lack of free time. Admittedly still don't have the free time. 😅

I think this is going to make Ray-Bans terminally uncool. I've known people who had to switch frames because the ones they were wearing kept being mistaken for pervert glasses.
