You can actually see part of the charging tip still lodged inside the port. The phone had overheated, fused the cord, and left the broken piece stuck in there.

Tech showed up about in about 20 minutes after company determined he was available for a callout. 45 minutes later he had the door sorted out and he charged me for the emergency visit and a "garage door tuneup" which saved me about 100 bucks!
