Anthem & Wellpoint are connected thru a series of mergers & rebrandings; Wellpoint merged with Anthem in 2004, the combined company was known as WellPoint before changing to Anthem in 2014. In 2022, again rebranded from Anthem to Elevance Health. It has since brought back the Wellpoint brand name.

Even though WA is apple health, there’s different agencies that fall under it. Molina, Community Health, Coordinated Care, United Healthcare, and WellPoint. I work the front desk at a clinic and deal with this daily.

The changes/cuts to Medicare have already hit home in Massachusetts. My long-standing therapist had to bill me because she hasn't been paid in 2 months - like I have any money to spare. Two new private companies have been added to the mix, Wellpoint and another payment processor. Murderous MAGA.

Yes. In Washington several insurance companies help people sign up for MediCaid/Apple Health through their company. WellPoint and Humana have Apple Health offerings too.
