Bob Mackie was on CBS Sunday Morning today. He said the script only said Starlet comes down in drapes. So that gave him free rein. He unveiled Carol’s dress on Thursday night before the Friday dress rehearsal.

Carol Burnett is a planetary treasure. She helped form my view of what's funny. Her generosity with her other cast members was legendary. Her pride over Vicki Laurence is apparent, but Laurence would have never become the comedian she was without Burnett's mentorship. #TCMParty #WentWithTheWind
