Yesterday managed to get up on the Ridgeway near Lowbury Hill, and then down to Upton and Hagbourne hill, for a 60km ish ride. Nice late August scenery, & a good temperature.

Went for a 80km spin in the wind. Tasty headwind up Ashbury hill to Lambourn, but better once heading north. Lambourn downs looked great in the winter sun. Loads of cyclists out.

The Ridgeway section of today's ride, after Goring & Streatley was superb. Headed west so had a roaring tailwind. The track was bone dry, and easy to pick a good line. Amazing scenery. Very quiet. #cycling #TheRidgeway #WestBerkshire

Yesterday, I spoke about the hard work @WestBerkshire is doing to protect vital services. Despite careful budgeting & listening to residents, they’ve had to request £16m in exceptional support to keep services running. The Minister has promised to review this in good faith.

An idyllic Spring afternoon in Newbury, England at the Kennet & Avon Canal and one of its historic swing bridges. Swans, houseboats, flowers, birdsong, sunshine. What more could you ask from a trip to England? #travel #England #WestBerkshire #canals #swans #nature #calm

Looks interesting! Be good to hear how useable data generated are - recent experience of similar was its great for engagement but data generated need considerable cleaning.

Calming walk around Basildon Park yesterday, feeling like Spring is just round the corner. Even while attempting to shelter from a downpour under bare trees! @nationaltrust.bsky.social

Have you checked out the Eling Way extension yet? The first section opened in 2020 between Hermitage and Hampstead Norreys. The route has now been extended into Hermitage. The aim is to extend south to Newbury and north to Didcot.
