First time completing the delightful #Whimsyfiction contest! Thank you @whimsyfiction.bsky.social. I had fun!

After a year of #365Days30Word Stories, I wasn’t sure I was up for any more stories, especially anything long!

Luckily, Whimsy Fiction came along on 1 July, and I couldn’t resist my first 300-word whimsy!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite writing contests. It's whimsical, light-hearted, fun, and has great prompts.

Can't wait for the Wandering Library to open!

Horror isn't normally my forte but as this is #WhimsyFiction I've already got a few quirky whimsical ideas on the drawing board 🤔😊🙃.... Time for coffee and percolation ☕🤗💜♥️😎
Good luck to everyone else taking part 🍀🤞

Oof, I was NOT feeling these prompts at first. I thought I'd definitely DNF. But inspiration hit yesterday, and I've ended up with a story I really like. Though, tbf, it's hard to write a whimsical story you don't like.

Submitted! Two days ago, I was flirting with a DNF and then inspiration struck. That’s the great thing about having 7 days to write! You can discard a few ideas and still have time for an another idea to pop up that insists on being written.

Well, my quirky/whimsical 300-word story is in with the #WhimsyFiction #WritingCompetition 👀💜❤️😎 Hopefully the judges like my take on the prompts 🤔🤣

Good luck to anyone else taking part 🤞🍀

It's all Fun & Games until somebody loses a ghoul. Do you have what it takes to follow this months whim and win a game of Who Moves On?!

The first 4 ideas I had for the #WhimsyFiction #WritingCompetition looked to be going well over 300 words (likely impossible to edit back without losing the essence of the planned narrative 🤔) ... I finally landed on an idea which I love 💜❤️🤔 Hopefully the judges think likewise 🤞🍀
