#WhistleBall
Me and Kevin are so close to being friends again during PE and we even talked about him playing all-time QB at recess.

But if he doesn’t let me use his nerf whistleball, I’m going to be forced to kill the class hamster, knock over the Hogwarts Lego castle and piss in his lunchable.

Wonder if we'll get some footy in between the #WhistleBall in the second half? #NRLBroncosRoosters

Well done to the Wahs fans for turning up and creating a great atmosphere despite the whistleball bludger on field. Might be your season, enjoy it :) #NRLWarriorsBroncos

I was out last night, playing glow-in-the-dark-whistleball with the dog, and yea that moon was amazing. WIsh I'd brought a camera.

Ideal would be somewhere in between - there's been some really obvious foul play that should have been dinged, but at least it hasn't been a game of Whistleball.

Adam Gee ignores foul play and can quickly lose control of games when players take exception. There's a balance somewhere between that style and Klein's whistleball approach that is probably what most fans want.

The last 34 minutes maybe. First half both teams looked pretty flat and it was all Whistleball. Second half started much the same before the game went totally crazy.
The greatest game of all? Broncos v Raiders NRL classic might just be the best of all time
The greatest game of all? Broncos v Raiders NRL classic might just be the best of all time
The 1989 grand final has long been the gold standard of rugby league epics but Sunday’s epic was equal, if not superior Rugby league has long referred to itself as “the greatest game of all”. Few who witnessed the 94-minute all-time classic between the Raiders and Broncos on Sunday afternoon would argue otherwise. In a match that is already being hailed as arguably the greatest finals match of all time, a long distance Ben Hunt field goal in golden point as darkness fell on the nation’s capital sent the Broncos to the preliminary final and broke Raiders hearts in a match that had everything. The most talented of Hollywood script writers would have struggled to conjure such a chaotic, dramatic, epic finale. On the back of their first minor premiership since 1990, the Raiders seemed to have a home preliminary final all but secured when Ethan Strange burst over with 25 minutes to go, giving them a 16-point lead. It capped arguably the most dramatic five minutes of the season, when the Broncos had seemingly imploded. Reece Walsh was lucky to only be sin binned for headbutting Hudson Young – and the Broncos were incredibly fortunate referee Ashley Klein not only binned Young as well but gave Brisbane the penalty. Kaeo Weekes soon scooped up a loose ball though and was off to the races with a 95-metre try before forward Patrick Carrigan joined Walsh in the bin for a high shot. When Strange scored the second try in four minutes following the Walsh binning, it appeared over. Even though Jamal Fogarty’s simple conversion miss was a bad sign, few saw it as a portent of things to come. Continue reading...

Thinking about the sheer state of #NRL reffing, there has to be something systemically wrong. So many games with calls that simply make no sense, or descend into #WhistleBall. Surely the refs can't ALL be bad... when a team performs consistently poorly, eventually you have to look at the coach.
