Wigston (Magna), SE of Leicester. A C6th settlement was probably destroyed in C9th fighting by the Danes, who founded ‘Viking’s Town’, known as Winchingestone by Domesday. In 1946 a Polish-crewed Lancaster Bomber on a training flight was struck by lightning & crashed here; all on board died.

Peregrine Falcons breeding on top of our City Cathedral.
This one , wandering XRF found itself in Bradgate Park today as the light was fading. Same bird that was seen in Wigston earlier in the month.
