I needed a tiny background ad for a commission and somehow ended up inventing an entire Y2K women’s meal replacement brand instead 💀

WILDLINE - Go Your Own Way.

Life’s a beach. But so are you. ✨

I am incapable of normal amounts of worldbuilding.

🦌 Found a Fawn? Here's What to Do!

Every spring, our WildLine starts receiving calls from concerned people who have found a fawn alone and believe it has been abandoned.

The good news? In most cases, it hasn't.

Last week, our WildLine responded to a call about an injured American Bittern found at an auto parts yard in Regina.
Bitterns are secretive marsh birds, but when threatened, they defend themselves with sharp beaks and bold postures.

When Ruben pulled into the Husky truck stop, he found a little Merlin looking back up at him. Concerned for the bird’s safety (and not wanting to risk handling it with his oily gloves), he called our WRSOS WildLine and patiently waited for our rescue volunteer Alex to arrive.

During recent windstorms near Sedley, our WildLine received a call about a young owl that had been displaced from its nest.

Our provincial WildLine team can help you determine:
• if the animal needs help
• what you should and shouldn't do
• whether a rehabilitator suits that species
• how to get the animal where it needs to go

Sometimes the best answer is to leave it where it is.

The Merlin was safely transported to the WCVM for x-rays and assessment following the impact. Thanks to Ruben’s quick thinking and care, this small falcon has a much better chance at recovery. 👉 A reminder: if you ever find injured wildlife, please call our WildLine at 306-242-7177.

Calling the WildLine? Stay on the line — here’s why it matters.

When you reach out to WRSOS, you’re not calling a call centre; you’re connecting with a real person, ready to help wildlife in real time.

A small action helps fund WildLine call responses, coordinate rescues, and support wildlife across our province. 💙

As we enter fall, thank you for being part of the community protecting Saskatchewan’s wildlife.

If you ever come across a bat on the ground or exposed during cold weather, don’t lift or warm it yourself. Call our provincial WildLine at 306-242-7177, and we’ll guide you through what to do next.

If a bird hits a window, don’t assume it’s fine. Place it in a small, ventilated box and contact the WildLine. Saskatchewan is on fall migration routes; let’s help them travel safely.
