Not sure what this is! Could it be a Vapourer #moth caterpillar about to pupate? It's on the underside of an elm leaf along the midrib. Other leaves were already falling. 🤔

#WildWebsWednesday Yesterday we spotted birds of prey next to a big field. Imagine our delight to realise they were red kite! So pleased I managed to get these two shots, incredible to see them soaring the skies spiralling up the thermals and down again with ease. At least 3 seen. #Gloucestershire

#WildWebsWednesday Incredible to witness a fallow deer rut this week, from a safe distance, all photos taken long lens! This historic herd has good colour variation; common, menil (the spots are more distinct than the common), melanistic (very dark), and leucistic – almost white. #CharlecotePark

A missing sector orb weaver spider, They build classic round orb webs, but with a signature "missing sector" (a wedge-shaped gap) and a signal thread leading to a small retreat where the spider hides.

Hello everyone ☕️
Guelder rose berries are just one of the many fruits of Autumn, as seen here in mid October. I just love how they add a nice bit of colour. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone 🍁♥️🌿

#WildWebsWednesday I popped my bins out last night for collection day, passing my witchhazel.... And it's gone early! It's starting to flower already! I think I planted this little tree in 2019, so pleased I did and it must be happy in my garden too. #Gardening #Lancashire
