A dark-skinned girl in a sheer victorian gown cradling her pregnant belly, held onto by two werewolf claws from either side. The title, "Wildbred", reads across the top, with the author "Riley Founder" below. THE PITCH: A girl whose family tragedies have left her aimless moves to rural England to start a new life, only to fall into a world of utter wonder and mythological creatures. In a place known as Grimside ruled by wolvish beasts known as lycans, two princes of dwindling bloodlines set their sights on making her their mate to carry their heirs, all while the exiled king schemes to take her for himself. For Enjoyers Of: -Lords of Arcadia, beginning with The Care and Feeding of Griffins, by R. Lee Smith -Feathers So Vicious, by Liv Zander -Court of the Vampire Queen, by Katee Robert -Run & Hide, by Beatrix Hollow A TASTE: He bent, tracing his lips up her spine, and when she reached back for him, she felt the coarse fur along his forearms, the prickle of it as he let his control lapse by small degrees. She turned to face him, and their mouths met, not with hunger but with a shared gentleness that surprised her. He kissed her slow, then slower, as if memorizing the shape of her lips. She bit him, once, to see what he would do. He laughed. A low, rumbling sound, and kissed her deeper. He shifted, moving her so that her head rested on the black pillow, then spread her arms out above her, pinning her wrists with just enough force to remind her he could, if he wanted, hold her there forever. She flexed, testing, but he gave a little, not enough for her to break free, just enough so that she knew he was paying attention. He worked his way down her body, mouth and tongue and teeth each laying claims across the territory from her neck to her stomach. When he reached the summit of the curve of her belly, he paused, pressing his lips and snout against her, kissing and breathing deep as if he were inhaling the very memory of her to hold in his senses forever. “What are you doing?” she asked, a smile tickling her lips. “Just listening.”
