Hurricane-strength noreaster windstorm which whips a surge into the city streets, followed by a brutally cold Alberta clipper that freezes everything - after an unmanned Russian ship lodges itself in front of the library on top of a city bus.

I didn't call it. Max did.

Burn the criminal law books.

Last Friday was a reminder to get your home ready for stormier weather!

I love a good windstorm. The sound of the wind makes me smile. Was coming home from the store yesterday and it was truly windyyyy, thankfully the rain had stopped so I could put my umbrella away this time hahahaha. What a lovely morning now eeee

Seems this is a thing that the GFS model does now: Occasionally simulating a hurricane-style windstorm in the Mediterranean (an unusually strong example of a 'medicane').

Likely a manifestation of the bias seen with tropical cyclone development; too eager to spin things up.

The little tubes feel remarkably similar when you're fumbling around in a windstorm in the dark.

I regret to inform you that much of a majestic willow at the Stone Bridge in Beacon Hill Park has fallen. I presume in Friday night’s windstorm.

I do a walk around. I forget how I ended the video because a pedicab tour guide stopped behind me and was hammering and discombobulated me. #yyj

Came upon this tree on a morning walk. The tree fell over in a windstorm number of years ago and managed to survive in a very contorted manner.

I saw a lightening ball (brighter than that one) hovering over the metal plate of a defunct well, during a windstorm that had the pine trees laying right down in the steady, warm wind.

Your wizard spends the entire game floating three feet off the ground without shoes and she has multiple 'tits out in a windstorm outfits'

If she looked like Naga the White Serpent and not a French barista... yeah some folks would be apocalyptic over it.

Nauseously optimistic, yah....that will be me until November. I waver between nauseous optimism and existential dread like a fart blown around in windstorm.
I feel optimistic about the midterm elections, just over five weeks away. But my stomach aches when I think of what’s at stake. Call me nauseously optimistic.

How do you feel? https://robertreich.substack.com/p/sunday-thought-nauseous-optimism

Acrylic painting of Sir Kiljaos the lion paladin of wind watching over the city of Aborku during a chilly autumn windstorm, having his huge billowing cape wrapped around him to keep himself warm.

I'm really loving them!

My giant zinnias are still colorful though a recent windstorm blew one over. But my smaller ones are finished. I think of marigolds and zinnias as old friends, must-have companions in the garden year after year.

Spent yesterday driving from Seattle to the Oregon Coast, and the first half of the drive was through an absolutely massive windstorm where our windshield wipers couldn't keep up with the rain and a wind gust blew a semi into our lane at 60mph and now my neck and shoulder muscles are paying for it.

Just filled a third hanger, actually!

We had a massive windstorm last night; several big oak branches were on the sidewalk this morning. I got another dozen good bundles.

Enzo and I headed to the beach for a little getaway, little did we know it would be the first windstorm of the season but we kept power in the yurt and had a lot of good weather too!

21 DAYS TILL SAANICH VOTES! 🗳️

Back on the campaign trail! 🚙🌳

Today was my first day back out and it was a full one. I was delivering lawn signs, repairing a few of the larger signs that took a beating in the windstorm, and checking out where all those signs have found their new homes.

Are they there to indicate a strong gust prehaps? Like a dragon's wings fluttering or a mighty windstorm raging?

Many many years ago I listened to a HS football game played in a windstorm with 60 MPH wind gusts. A punter punted into the wind and the ball got caught by a wind gust and landed about 10 yards BEHIND the punter.
