Steve, Lil and Herman from Hawkeye. Yeah, I drew an issue of the Fraction/Aja/Hollingsworth run. #WinterFriends

Rewind 3 - in its final incarnation The Winterfriends were a proggish indie-rock quartet youtu.be/JHsV4Mt85GA?... but I wanted to explore pop ideas, so in 2019 I wound up The Winterfriends & the bassist ( @aj-zho.bsky.social ) rearranged my songs on a Roland Groovebox over the summer of 2019-20

For new followers here the collab work I do with the post punky sound sorcerer Pauli Field AKA www.instagram.com/flip_that_gr... is a return to my indie rock roots (I ran a #melbourne based band called The Winterfriends until 2019) - my own music is pure synthpop

Before Madam Nightingale there was my “The Winterfriends” collective: trio to quintet, where I learnt my craft for nearly a decade prior to my current professional arts practice

…expanding to a quintet by 2017… youtu.be/cAHbQvLNPnA?... …

Rewind 2 - the guitar period: later I replaced keys with guitar & the band evolved from a classical/jazz-influenced folk trio (Andy Pavelic on Lead Guitar & Steven Marshall White on Rhythm Guitar) like this youtu.be/QX5zYLojLlg?...

Rewind 1 - in the beginning: so wayyyy back in the last gasp of 2012 I met bassist & soundie Steven Marshall White & he encouraged me to form my first band, The Winterfriends. It went thru several lineups, here’s a song from it’s early jazz-influenced trio period
