Crepuscular rays emitting from #Underneath storm clouds, shining down on the small town of Winterville.

The fiery horizon contrasted the ice blue clouds as I headed #home this evening.

Still shot of the #aurora before the time-lapse.

I set up my phone to capture a time-lapse of the #comet while I was taking photos of the comet 🤣.

One last night for me to capture C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS.

I had to try at home with a little more light pollution, but managed to get a couple of decent shots.

It's been three years, to the day, since ENC has had a #snow event.

Enjoy a slow-motion look at the snow drought ending.

I've now captured an #aurora twice in eastern NC!

This time I attempted a time-lapse. You can faintly see the ribbon narrow and then begin to fade.

Simply Amazing.

It's been a while since I dug out the old forecast graphic package I created back in 2022.

Here's what to expect in my home county over the next seven days.

It's a roller coaster ride, but at least we have a chance of rain tonight, with a better chance on Wed.

We won't be anywhere near totality for the #2024Eclipse, but according to the #Eclipse Simulator, here is how much of the eclipse will occur in #WintervilleNC.

For ENC, it won't rain all the time, but it could rain at any time, especially over the next 24-36 hours. ☔

Get those galoshes out! 🥾

Since the clouds have scrubbed my aurora mission, I decided to go back through some of my pics from last night.

Here's a shot of #Starlink satellites passing "through" the very beginning of the first #aurora pillar I was able to capture.
