part of the problem is a lot of nutrition science is shit and then a lot of mainstream media reporting on it elevated that shit. It's been 30 years of elevating certain foods (superfoods, dark chocolate, red wjne) and demonizing specific foods (eggs, butter) when the truth is boring
If you don't drill down deeper, it doesn't sound that far out of the mainstream. And if you want to get deeper, I don't think it's easy to find good reliable information. Moreover, I think the public has what I would call low confidence in food and dietary advice from mainstream sources.

Last night's tipple, it was really very good. Unfortunately this vineyard doesn't bottle any more so I only have one left 😭. It's oak aged Cabernet Franc, delicious.

There was a lot of climbing around 20-30 foot man-made stone walls built around a pool. I kept telling people how much I preferred fake rock to real ones because it meant fewer loose rocks to give way.
