As someone who lowkey obsesses over romances/otomes, and WoLxNPC ships in private: read fanfic, or write your own.
There's all-out wars over how people write their ships for ANY reason, adding otome/romance options to FFXIV would just be adding fuel to an already problematic dumpster fire

• (Asked about NPC date events) While I understand the request, what if it doesn't align what what you expect a date would look like? I'm not saying anything will happen to a given character, but if they were to leave the story, it would constrain us.

I've been thinking more about my characters and their backgrounds, including my WoL and after almost 7 years of playing I realize it's probably accurate to say Y'sayle was my WoL's first love.
Is this when I finally get the wolxnpc ships? ALSO MY WOL IS MARRIED

(bit of an off-topic question, but for those of you who have a favorite ffxiv npc/have a wolxnpc ship, if said npc had an ice cream flavor made in their likeness, what do you think it would be? what about your wol? consider this a #wolquestionoftheday .)
(feel free to be as creative as you want.)

The Commander likes his privacy, and their destinations are too at odds for anything more tangible or worthwhile. So, they take what they can get by the light of the moon.
First WoLXNPC gpose and it's Lorens.. basard

I'm indifferent towards WoLxNPC ships, but I read this and can't help but think that this is exactly what Sanji would be saying about Hyperia to her ex.😂
Some folks treat WOLxNPC ships like this and it generally concerns me.

WolxNPC-wise I've shipped Sami with Lyse for like, most of my time playing the game. Then the Viper job quests came out and I don't know I think I just have highlander brain worms and I don't know how to handle working this into Sami's lore lol

I generally don't do WoLxNPC ships for my own OCs for a variety of reasons, but one of the biggest is that I am genuinely terrified of a character I am seriously invested in ending up like him
