I thought I'd read this womanist theologian's take on embodiment & sensuality & now I'm 3 chapters in and ready to DNF.

She's now talked about clairvoyance, how logic & linear thinking is inherently male, tapping into the Divine Feminine, and given specific diet & exercise tips.

Thank you, next

Macho guy that I am, I openly identified as a feminist until my mid 20’s, when I found out how deeply racist the movement is. 🙄

So I got re-educated by black women & became a womanist. I hate the same evils feminists hate, plus more.

Unsurprising BS.

The malicious compliance game bc figuring out what courses start with 50% of these & go somewhere else.

Muslim rationalist philosophy, use of Aristotle, w/Maimonides as comparison point

The underpinnings of Womanist theology: the Bible, Morrison, Douglass, more…
The UT-Austin Core Curriculum Task Force is requiring that Gen Ed courses draw 50% of their readings from this list of 50.

Unfortunately, it seems to think that the “Great Questions of Human Life” can only be explored through the canon of Western civ (token exception: Confucius).

Toni is more digestible than Max to them because she is rich, less womanist and willing to do things for money; a script they related to beauty/desirability. The difference is the way they take power from men and how they assert their womanhood. Max dgaf while Toni feels a woman has a certain place

We're Presbyterian, so no incense or decorative vestments. But you can fit a lot of liberation, womanist, and generally progressive theology under a black robe and plain preaching bands.

And getting the education I never got in school during the 1990s, reckoning with my Whiteness as spiritual incarceration, rolling around in Latino/a/x/e Theologies of Liberation, & Womanist Biblical Theology - my brain went into shock.

Now it's working again. I'm moving on. Let's git 'er done.
