#WoodStoich
I‘m happy to share our new review on the link between mixotrophic protists and stoichiometry led by Luca Schenone! Thanks to #WoodStoich for bringing together this motivated group of ECRs with Zoe Aarons, Minerva García-Martínez and @redoglioandrea.bsky.social!

Mixotrophs have stabilising effects on the stoichiometry of organisms and communities, a systematic literature review finds. Product of the latest iteration of #Woodstoich workshops co-authored by #PlanktonEcology PhD student @anikahappe.bsky.social see 👇 @icbm-uol.bsky.social 🧪

Happy to share our paper from Woodstoich 5. ☮️
We present a integrativ modeling approach, that involves a genome-scale analysis to gain insights into nutrient fluxes (C:N:P) within phytoplankton cells.
Thanks to all involved ♥️ 🦭🦕

Woodstoich 5 has wrapped up! Five papers finished, all received at least 2 external peer reviews in <24 hours, first revisions for most are complete, and least two are already provisionally accepted! SUCCESS! Congrats to all.

This is how Woodstoich papers have been reviewed (minus the payment scheme). Successful for five workshops, ~25 papers. First executed in 2004. Works like a charm but requires trust and goodwill in the reviewer pool and authors need to be timely and responsible.
