#WordFinding
This heatwave has (unsurprisingly) amplified my fatigue. One side effect of this is finding speaking harder - both wordfinding, and physically getting the words out.
In addition, speaking worsens my fatigue.
As a result, I sometimes need to not talk in order to be able to function.
So -

I must have been so sick. Wordfinding and names are still hard when I’m tired and I tire easily but really, some of the memory things are better.

(I am still so sick, but sometimes it astonishes me how very low the dial on my absolute self was turned down, how little access I had to me.)

That IS interesting. Wordfinding issues are typically categorical (like in/out, son/grandson etc etc)

Well good on ya. Might be straight up verbal memory

Word-finding difficulties "often affected their ability to participate in everyday communication. Despite using various strategies...many described themselves as being changed as communicators."

Thank you for the feedback.
I am disabled by chronic mental health conditions, and it sucks. It sucks less with effective meds - so that was me speaking from my own experience. My illnesses also muck up my thinking and wordfinding - I will try and speak more carefully going forward. I wish you well!

This is semantic aphasia - substituting a related word when wordfinding fails - and this is not the only example of it in this one press avail. Here he means “network” rather than “show.” When talking about grass he meant “lifespan” rather than “life.”
I assumed MS NOW ran at least *two* shows.
Q: Are there other avenues you could have supporters get paid potentially if it's not the anti-weaponization fund?

TRUMP: Who are you with?

Q: MS NOW, sir

TRUMP: Who?

Q: MS NOW

TRUMP: What a terrible show that is. They have the worst people on that show

Brain? Still not great. But I can run a meeting and not have to sleep immediately after. Cognitive stamina is better. Memory, wordfinding, not so much.

Driving, omg. It feels normal to drive.

I am appreciating that people share their wordle scores; it’s the closest thing I’ve had to a real-time brain function assessment w/a control group. It’s reassuring. I can still play Mastermind reasonably well, I am delighted to know, even as my conversational wordfinding slips.

Verbal delirium of a cold on the rise: My wordfinding sucks and my emails puzzle people (and rightly so, on re-read). And my spelling...

At the moment, you can play a daily Mini Crossword, a wordfinding game called Hexicon (that's a little like Spelling Bee), and also try to solve a cryptic crossword-style clue!
