I learned to type with a version of WordPerfect made you use the return key mid-sentence to drop down to the next line like a typewriter BUT TECHNOLOGY ADVANCED AND SO WE MUST EVOLVE
As someone who learned to type on the 89s, two spaces are the law.

WordPerfect was a much better, far more intuitive system. But they failed because they didn't have Microsoft's marketing muscle.

The most terrifying enshittification I've discovered has been learning that Microsoft Word documents no longer auto-save if you are not saving them to one of their own proprietary cloud services. I'm slapping control-S like it's 1999.

la chancleta absolutely did and then somehow emailed the file in wordperfect format circa 1999 and stopped answering texts or emails.
