God found me weeping
cupped the echo in His hands
called it beautiful

Love was not thunder
just warm socks, soft light, and hands
that never let go

Grief did not win me.
Joy came barefoot in the dusk
and sat by my side

Poetry. Healing. Real life.
I’m Amy Michelle — a poet living through loss, chronic illness, & rebirth.
This space holds it all:
✍️ the writing
🍓 the nourishment
🕊️ the stillness
💔 the grief
🌱 the steady return to light.

Maybe it’s easier
to echo
than to listen
to the silence within.

Grief doesn’t always roar—sometimes it settles softly, like moss finding its way in shadow. 🌿

Sharing my new poem, Something Gentle.

They lay in the tall grass together
chatting about everything
and nothing at all
unaware how big of a moment it really would turn out to be

Summer was in full bloom
Jasmine and wisteria hung thick in the air
as the days seemed to crawl
But they didn’t mind

Tears fall like rain
down my eyelids & cheeks
As I think of you
All the memories

They say time heals all wounds
But I am sure that's true
I search through the soil
Its richness, still giving life

new blooms are budding
life continues on
heartbreak and all

They rise like whispers
from the hush of green—
slender spires of quiet defiance,
lavender-tipped and reaching
for something unseen.

No trumpet, no fanfare—
just stillness in bloom,
a meadow remembering
how to be beautiful
in the middle of June.

Some wounds cut so deep that they become permament scars of the heart, mind, and soul. This is one of those times.

I rise slowly,
held in this quiet grace.
Each breath is a blessing.
Each shadow, a story.
I give thanks
for this day—
wide open and waiting
to be walked with wonder.

I write for the ones who carry quiet grief, who notice the wildflowers, who believe in light even when it’s dim. I write for the broken and the becoming…🌼🌿🦋

She didn’t give me life, but she gave me love.
The kind that heals. The kind that holds.
This poem is for my mom, Linda Ann Kennedy—
who never once let me forget I was hers. 💗
Even now, I still feel her arms around me.
