My husband, who is Indian, came over here to go to Uni but when he was in India he remembers reading Daffodil by Wordsworth with only a black & white picture of a single daffodil!

I don't know how your rehearsals go but ours involved my lovely wife singing Gershwin's "Lorelei" a la Dietrich and maybe reciting a little Wordsworth like Elizabeth Holmes; so while we hope audiences are happy they are in the long run obviously not our primary concern.

"The budding twigs spread out their fan,
To catch the breezy air;
And I must think, do all I can,
That there was pleasure there."

The Wordsworth Dictionary of Difficult Words really likes words that end in -ferous. Examples: armiferous, auriferous, pestiferous, serriferous. But it doesn't have ostentiferous.

Whitehead loved Wordsworth, and thought him a genius. He was not anti poetic, and he thought poetry and human feeling were essential facts of reality, just like physical elements. He was trying to reunite science and feeling, which is Freakin’ Bold, but any reason can not triumph over experience.
