“Have they no workhouses? Have they no prisons?”
November 3, 2026 at 12:00 AM
Send them to the workhouses.

Workhouses are just around the corner.

So, Suella, slavery is just like indentured labour except you don't get to choose it, you don't get any money and you have no rights.

Oh and healthcare happened because of a labour govt in 1948. Before then were workhouses.

Let's not teach a dumb, wrong, version of history.

Hey America, were school shootings not needlessly killing enough children? Measles? Next stop workhouses I guess.
A child in New York has died of measles.

Nobody had died from measles there for more than 30 years.

Until today.

All of this was preventable. Every measles case, every hospitalization, and every death.

They always look like the kind of matriarchs you would have seen 200 years ago running asylums and workhouses. Moralfags know no bounds.

Labour still chasing those Reform & Restore votes........Next they plan to reintroduce imperial measurements, singing the national anthem in schools and workhouses...........bunch of cunts.
Important response from Mahmood to the charge of changing the rules retrospectively, as @pronouncedalva.bsky.social points out: “Being in the UK does not give someone an automatic right to settle under the rules that existed when they first arrived”
November 3, 2026 at 10:52 AM
Sometimes it's like you lot don't even want to bring back workhouses.

We really need as a nation to start Frenching the protest up.
Our apathy will have us back in workhouses.
🚨NEW - American Journalist attempting to cover our protest banned from UK

Jeremy Loffredo, the first American journalist to be arrested by Israel, was refused entry after the Home Office said his "presence in the UK is not conducive to the public good".

Kemi Bacenoch is saying let charities do charity and not the state. She wants the workhouses back because that was charities doing charity before the state took over. You may not have been old enough to remember workhouses but a lot of them were turned into hospitals after the formation of the NHS.

It’s Halloween, time to get Charles out of his coffin again!
I have no idea what his thread could possibly be here (bring back workhouses?)

I read Charlie Chaplin’s wikipedia at 6am. Of particular note: He spent several periods in actual Victorian workhouses as a child, and Spencer Dryden of Jefferson Airplane was his nephew.

Just workhouses to go and our return to Victorian England is complete!
October 31, 2026 at 9:06 AM
Could he just say what he means?
He wants workhouses back, doesn't he?
October 28, 2026 at 8:29 AM
Eugenics and fascism have been around for way longer that that tbh. It only obtained a name for the practices and ideology in the 20th century

Look up what workhouses
/poorhouses were and their purpose. And they have been around since like 1500s to possibly also earlier
November 3, 2026 at 1:34 AM
How do you define both, then?

Workhouses in England in the 1500s weren't a means of exterminating people from the gene pool, but a means of exploiting the population who did not own land not the means to rent agricultural land who became urban vagrants as a result of the end of serfdom.

She's MP for my neighbouring constituency. I think she might smile if a blind kid got run over on a Zebra cossing, otherwise only when sitting next to Boris Johnson or voting for workhouses
November 4, 2026 at 5:14 PM
Only reason I agree is that you *really* do need to know at least some of the backstory for the Ramaswamy ad. If you know nothing at all about the situation, his ad is vaguely discomfiting. Marshall's is more like "are there no workhouses for these nasty poor people, I need to get paid."

still angry at the monarchists for opposing the welfare reforms that created the workhouses and asylums

and still assuming we wouldn't be able to figure out that they were shit if that hadn't happened
October 31, 2026 at 3:29 PM
Blimey, A Christmas Carol showings get earlier every year. Vive the workhouses.
