The #SovietInvasionOfPoland launched on #ThisDayInHistory in 1939, showing once again that the so-called #WorkersState, aka the #SovietUnion, was more interested in #GreatPower status and reclaiming the territory of the former #RussianEmpire than it was in #socialist liberation.
On #ThisDayInHistory in 1937 #USSR began deporting 175,000 #Soviet citizens of #Korean descent and 8,000 of #Chinese descent to barren, unpopulated areas in #CentralAsia, where many died. Such #genocidal #EthnicCleansing shows the state, even a "#WorkersState", cannot be trusted.
