Easiest unfollow I've ever done. It also reminded me of when I migrated from Bsky to Tumblr and how the switch really helped me articulate why I hated writeblr so much. As in, there are plenty of folks from writeblr I still talk to. (If we're mutuals, hiiii! You're excellent!) (4/?)

This shit was so pervasive on "Writeblr" (writing side of Tumblr) it ultimately pushed me out of the community. I refused to agree that happy endings are inherently revolutionary, and got tired of having to explicitly write my politics into stories like I was explaining queer theory to a toddler.

That writeblr transplant is the only one I've ever blocked. Everyone else who followed me from Bsky actually made an effort to talk with me now and then. We're not exactly close, but we talk. And consequently, I'd rather read their work than that of the person I'd blocked. (And I do!) (8/?)

There's a thriving chronic illness community on Tumblr. It overlaps with writeblr, so I see a good bit from the POTS/EDS circle. They're very informative.
