Another commission in the books! They requested their OC x Hiromi Higuruma, a fluffy romance piece. They also got a freebie Spotify playlist! open.spotify.com/playlist/0vn...

I got an artist code to VGen so I'm accepting comms for OC lore writing and monster romance! I don't see anyone else offering the latter, so I'm excited to fill that niche! #VGen #monsterromance #writingcommisions #VGenCommissions

A screenshot of a written segment on the Ellipsus app that reads: One minute he was an empty chassis, and the next he was alive. Circuits lit up, filaments warmed, and his primary camera sprang to life, giving him a perfect view of the ceiling of a dark, dingy workshop. Rap music blared through the speakers nearby, and the human working on him pulled away from his innards, carefully replacing them inside his chassis. "Designation?" he prompted, and the human jumped. "Christ alive," they huffed. "You'll give someone a fucking heart attack doing that." "Apologies. Designation?" "Your name's Brace," they grunted, pushing magnifying goggles up out of their face until they no longer had the appearance of a praying mantis. "You'll remember in a little while. Your backup files are still downloading. Connection's slower down here." "I see," he murmured, flexing his fingers in a way that told him that he had experience handling a gun. "What is my occupation?" "You're a resistance fighter," the human—Klaine, he belatedly assigned from his recovering memory banks—said, closing up his torso. "Your mission is to rescue a test subject from the Institute." "A test subject. Human?" "In a manner of speaking." "Curious. Where are my tools?" "In your locker. Give yourself a minute. You were almost literally shredded." "I'm fine," said Brace, sitting up and swinging his legs over the edge of the worktable. He had work to do. /end ID ID: A screenshot of a written segment on the Ellipsus app that reads: Alastair had a simple life—boring, but simple. He woke up every morning and opened the tailor shop with his father, then spent the day in school and came home to work with his father on alterations and embroidery until his eyes were sore. Then he'd get ready for bed, curl up under the covers, and do it all over again the next day. The war changed all of that. It was all a blur after the initial explosion. He remembered running through the streets trying to get home to his father, and the smell of singed hair and burning flesh. He remembered the terror that made his stomach drop through him when the bridge gave way beneath his feet, and the vivid green eyes of the man who snatched him out of the air like he weighed little more than a kitten. Then nothing. Isi became his mentor. A friend and a protector all rolled up into one earnest, vulnerable package. Isi taught him how to shoot, how to fight, how to cook, how to sew skin instead of clothing. They hopped from planet to planet, space port to space port, drinking in nebulae and horizons that would humble the most frigid heart. They built something that was meant to last. And then it didn't. It's true what they say: you don't know what you have until it's gone. When the secret organisation that Isi worked for got wind of Isi having custody of Alastair, they pounced like wildcats, tearing them away from one another in a way that left Alastair feeling bereft and betrayed. He spent years undergoing rigorous training by the agency, vowing to himself to never look upon Isi's wretched face ever again. But now Isi's back, and wanting to make amends. Will Alastair accept the olive branch, or reduce it to ashes? /end ID
