Comfort Lake–Forest Lake Watershed District has begun installing an iron-enhanced sand filter on Heath Avenue to capture runoff before it reaches Little Comfort Lake; the district estimates the project will prevent about 80 pounds of phosphorus and 4,330 pounds of sediment annually.
