I think this used to be the case, but as someone who's lived in Houston for 20 years, Texans are much closer to Ohioans than Wyomingites. Despite how we view ourselves, over 80% of us live in cities or suburbs.

Wyoming's 2 remaining ACA carriers are raising premiums by 22% on average, which (spoiler) is also roughly the national average for 2026.
Only a couple thousand Wyomingites are currently unsubsidized; that's what they have to look forward to.
