Oh I am so sad and frustrated right now. I got a text - my new glasses were ready to be picked up, yay! So I drove out -- to Wythville. About 70m away, but the closest place my insurance would cover Zeiss lenses. AND THEY WERE CLOSED!! It was an automated text. I'll have to come back tomorrow.

Expected snow totals for Sunday; weak low pressure crossing through North Carolina will set off snow showers over #Virginia Sunday afternoon and evening; a few inches likely from Charlottesville north and northwest to Winchester.

There are two ways to get across WV if you live near Roanoke: north to Lexington and across 64 or south to Wythville and up 77. This is on the latter and let me tell you, it’s part of why I gas up at the state line and don’t stop in WV unless I’m going to new river gorge.

Could just go with Gibson’s formative years in Wythville, VA, he still speaks with a bit of a drawl, and the very Southern setting of The Peripheral pre-Jackpot timeline…. But cars? 🤷🏻‍♂️😆
