While I expected this, the voice clips in Timeless River are bitcrushed (or at a lower sample rate, I dunno) like on PS4/XB1/PC, rather than muffled like on PS2/PS3
Doesn't take away from the experience but it is interesting to note regardless

theyre all like this hence it being one of my fave series EASILY but its interesting how xb1 was originally not at all related and it gained that stuff over time and they just naturally were going to cover those themes and ideas anywho cause yeah but as a ribbon tying everything up 3 just nails it

Yep, that's partly due to the PC port using upscaled textures from the Steam release onwards (and were carried over to PS5/Series XS)
Patching the PS4/XB1/Switch/S2/pre-2024 PC textures back in each game will reduce the size to around 58.4 GB (around the size of the older versions)

I’ve been making it a point to try out an entry in RPG franchises I haven’t played before. Persona 5 was last year, now it’s XB1.

The only product of value I've seen genAI use produce so far in the scene imho is Azimuth, the XB1-to-PC translation layer for Forza Horizon 2, but XWineOne is within arm's reach of emulating the entire Xbox One library without issues at full speed anyway and no genAI was used there
anyway the current state of modding communities is pretty definitive proof that the "democratization" of creation that ai people like to talk about is an actively bad thing

no longer be played. The old school gaming model was also designed so that the hardware itself wasn't profitable and sold almost for cost and they made their money on the software. Like XB1 was sold at a loss just to get people to buy the software.
