(I actually wrote a short story about this very topic! The gunblade is very much based off of an in-game item (but the player can't get it) that Fordola actually uses at one point!)
A Blade for You, a Life for Us Diana2112 Summary: Fordola has been at Dark Sun Hold for a few months, and Sha'dow takes it upon himself to make her a new weapon. One worthy of her skills. One that will fit her hand. He COULD just synthesize it... But what if he stoked up the forge...? For XIVRarePairWeek Day 1, "Forged"

For example, these are the tags on my fic Bibliophile. They can be broken down as:

1. Relevant side content or MSQ era
2. How established (or not) the relationship is
3. Some general "vibes"
4. Mostly chronological list of specific acts
5. "Meta" information (XIVRarepairWeek, etc)

(Not the immediate sequel chronologically, but the one with the most Fordola in it. The immediate sequel chronologically I'll post in the next comment)

wren and sidurgu stand together in front of a window, bright light streaming in. though their backs are turned, it appears they're both looking slightly in each other's directions. on wren's other side, fray, partially transparent, also gazes outward. in the corner, deathbringer and caladbolg lean against a shelf.

He looks stunning in the light of the oil lamp on her desk, and if she tries hard enough to ignore the stained edges of the scene, the image of him gripping her flesh, pinning her leg as she reclines in his bed is far more interesting than whatever worries he has about her blood loss. "There's a bottle in that cupboard and bandages in the drawer." It almost counts as her relenting. "I know." He casts her a confused glance. "We came to my room, remember?" With a theatrical sigh, she writhes a little. It does hurt. Less, now, but when he presses down like that— "And to think, all it took to be in your bed was a grievous harm." "Your leg? Or…" He nods at her dagger, abandoned with her greatsword and smearing blood on his floorboards. "After?" She lets him take her hands, replacing the pressure of his touch with her own so he can get the bandages. "Whatever turns you on, I guess." He drops the spool of thread he'd found. She keeps track of its progress, unwinding as it rolls. "Shit." She laughs. Whatever pressure she applies must not be good enough, because there's too much scarlet seeping between her fingers. But she's malms away from her body at this point, so it hardly matters.

"Right." Thancred scoffed. "Well, I have no desire to wait for the lordling to emerge from his puddle of self-pity. We have important matters to attend to in Ishgard." Sidurgu knew he shouldn't say it, even as he sneered, the words half-formed. "And what of yours?" The other man rounded on him, confusion on the unobscured side of his face. "My business in the city?" "Your puddle of self-pity. The one you've drenched Wren in for no greater crime than being in your presence." He stepped forward, breath coming faster. "All that talk about the people you hold dear, but if she'd died under your watch?" Thancred laughed, humorlessly. "You think she's the only one trying to drink herself to death then?" The earlier confrontation had emboldened him, clearly made him feel more whole than he had since whatever great loss he'd lectured the boy on. He leveled his hands on Sidurgu's chest and shoved. It was enough. Scaled knuckles connected solidly with a roughened jaw. Thancred took several unsteady steps back at the force, shaking his head when Sidurgu spoke. "That maid poisoned her." Wren looked so tired. "He couldn't have known." Sidurgu considered the singular kind of heat flooding him in the personal offense he took on her behalf. "He should have thought." She spun, only leaning a few ilms too far into the movement, and with her back to her ally, bid him farewell. "Just go." Sidurgu was on her heels as she placed her palms on the building's massive doors, pushing hard against the wood to swing them open. He wordlessly added his elbow to the impasse and was rewarded with a loud creaking that signaled their arrival. The knights inside turned, both their faces ruins of duty-bound misery. He knew the feeling.

on the left, a gpose of sidurgu in profile, holding wren's hand to his chest as he looks down at her, though she's out of frame. on his ribs and just under them, he has a tattoo of an iris, and in some of the negative space, wren's lipstick is smeared in a the vague shape of her lips. on the right is a passage of text, which reads: Wren's hand fell over the long-healed ink blooming across his ribs and down. Her crimson lipstick smeared at the lower petals, the waxy sheen of it hitting the light as Sidurgu breathed beneath her hand. Her head tilted back, lips parted to say something, anything that might have broken them from this — him standing bared, her staring awed. His palm grazed her knuckles before he folded his hand around hers, dragging it up, over scale and skin, to rest at his heart. He worried at her ring with the pad of his thumb, not needing to break his attention from her face to map the contours of onyx and steel. When she slipped closer, he released her hand without resistance, threading his fingers into the hair at her nape so he might cradle her head, exhaling fully with her palms pressed flat to his back like wings or blades.

"Don't tell me you've gone soft over me, Sidurgu." She should not have said it, did not want confirmation or rejection, had to brace for either. He only exhaled over her cold knuckles, then dragged his gaze to her face. She pretended not to notice his distraction at her injured shoulder. "And you've gone bloodthirsty over me?" Asked like the question it was not. Wren considered the violence she might happily enact were it to ensure that he still stood and breathed, still stoked the fire in his room a little too low to keep it from burning out as he slept and hid his sad smile after checking on Rielle late at night. Regret spilling blood in tithe for that? Never, fate forgive her.

Tataru’s voice mumbles something indistinct. Tataru’s hand wanders through the covers until it finds Krile, and then Tataru’s arms pull her close. This time, she can make out the half-muffled words– “There you are.” As if, even with no reason to, she’d been waiting for her. Tataru curls into the space around her, the most natural thing in the world.

In theory it should be within astrology’s purview– to trade umbral growth for astral stasis, to slow or even stop the hand of time– but, in a cosmic irony, he hasn’t the time to refine the technique. Instead, after each attempted summoning Urianger lays his own hands on the other man’s body, over all of the seams where crystal advances on flesh, pours forth his own aether and wills it to stop.
