The Xodous is so advanced that my only proselytization victims now are DM engagement farming bots. What’s the deal here? Did this guy hire a social media consultant who’s DMing people vaguely related to real estate all day?

One thing I noticed about the decline of Edutwitter was a decrease in the sharing of actual resources and classroom ideas and an increase in general opinion sharing (which is fine but maybe less immediately and functionally useful) - I’d love to see a return to sharing useable things post-Xodous 😍

It’s disappointing to see but the nasty accounts are bound to show up here following high profile stories about the Xodous.
I’ve hardly come across them purely down to the fact I use block lists, the problem takes care of itself so I’m mostly shielded.

The fact that even Chinese state media is "troubled" by the mass Xodous from The Other Site should really say a lot about how awful it has been the past few years.
If you needed even MORE of a reason to switch to Bluesky, China is "troubled" by the fact that they've invested so much time on Twitter buying ads, bots, and influencers... only to see the people they're seeking to manipulate (us) flee the site.

I’m noticing a few hiccups on the platform. I’m guessing it’s the influx from the Xodous. No worries. Someone will be getting more server space soon, I imagine.

When #threads opened, I was happy to have an alternative. It wasn't the best, since it was just another place under Zuck's control, but it was better than Xitter. #bluesky was okay, but it was quiet and Dorsey was here. THEN! The xodous finally started and Dorsey was gone. This place feels good.
