It's the slight screen shake and additional hit sparks/sounds from the opponent getting bashed repeatedly against the wall that really just tie everything together for me in XvSF

The 1st entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, XvSF features characters both from the X-Men and Street Fighter series in 2v2 matches. XvSF utilizes many mechanics from both Children of the Atom & Marvel Super Heroes, including Super Jumps, Aerial Raves, etc.

i learned so much more about XvSF once the 00s hit and there were actual *resources*, videos, tutorialized content etc, and decent training mode facsimiles available to actually figure out what i was doing and what was possible. as it turns out thats how you actually garner and keep players around
