Obviously there’s still good stuff on the web. Mostly .org, .gov or .edu stuff though. It is amazing how awful the content on .coms has gotten. People blame Google for having bad results, but it’s trying to find a needle in an entire ocean now.

1/2 - Something I was thinking about after #Pubcon. If Google determines a site is YMYL it is held to a higher standard for content quality which can impact organic search performance. Yet with AIO they don't seem to mind that it will say whatever it wants for YMYL-style queries.

The google algorithm has had so much time and engineering poured into how they rank "YMYL" pages (your money or your life). Their quality and ranking criteria are stricter and those SERPS are meant to change less frequently.

For the zillionth time: AI chatbots are NOT search engines! Scammers are now reverse engineering the likely results to *create* the fake URLs and resources AI will hallucinate to you, thereby steering you directly to malware or bad actors. Stop treating ChatGPT like Google.
