Takaoka Craft Ichibamachi 2025 runs September 20-23 in central Takaoka City, Japan. The 14th annual festival features over 100 venues showcasing traditional metalwork, lacquerware and contemporary crafts. Yamacho-suji (山町筋) is one of Takaoka’s most beautifully preserved historical streets. It’s a district lined with traditional kura storehouses, wooden merchant buildings, and the distinctive architectural style that reflects the city’s Edo period prosperity.
