see i do have very powerful homesickness for eretz yisrael and yerushalayim, in the deepest recesses of my being. when i pray i weep for it
the diaspora has never and i dont think ever will truly feel like home to me, but what the modern State govt has done also feels heartbreaking and offensive.

Even if I as an American Jew, have no allegiance or sympathy towards Israel as a state, do I even feel any intrinsic connection to the *Land*? And can I practice my Judaism in spite of feeling nothing towards *Yerushalayim*.
