190926 A wonderfully special day. An autistic almost 15 year old boy gave me a precious hug - HIS idea! On walkies at 1pm, over Heslington Lane a Red Kite teasing a Crow/Rook. Well worth the painful neck! #Yorkbirding #ukbirding #northyorkshirebirds #ukwildlife

130926 7.15pm A skein of Geese flying towards Uni East Campus over Heslington Road. I think too high to be stopping at the Uni, no idea where they could go in that direction. #York #yorkbirding #ukbirds

190826 #yorkbirding #ukbirding Tildi decided we would walk down Lesley Ave (parallel to Broadway) & at 4.45 I saw, to my great delight, my first Swallows of the year. 2 swooping & zooming as they fed getting ready for their long journey. So 2 Swallows & 12 Swifts. Better than none...(a bit!)

First step into a different sort of cataloguing - contributing in a small part to the latest report. It makes rare book cataloguing look a doddle! @YorkBirding @ABARareBooks

A good night for #Nocmig over my #Wigginton #York suburb - 25 flocks of Common Scoters and plenty more besides. A clear night, so the vast majority of migrants were too high for the recorder - as evidenced by the constant action in the thermal imager!
